Tagaytay Farmhills: One Heck of a Staycation at a Vacation House in Tagaytay!

We found another gem at AirBNB! But this time, we can call it home. Read our last AirBNB staycation at Kapusod – Taal.

We found a vacation house located in Tagaytay which looked like a castle at first glance, well originally it was meant to be turreted like a castle. I immediately looked at the reviews and read some of them. There were not too testimonies many but my instincts told me to book for that place. The photos here will tell you how much we were in awe when we got there. 🙂

The Space of the Vacation House

I’m gonna describe it the best way possible. Upon entry from the main gate, you would notice that it’s like a resort with a pool for the kids and the adults. The entryway to the house was surrounded by green leaves with a few flowers not yet blooming, and a few plants with hanging stems.

Upon entering the home itself, you’d immediately notice how big the location was. I requested for a room with a bath tub, it was a part of my dream. The room was located on the ground floor so the access to everything was easy. Standard rooms don’t have bath tubs, just so you know. The ground floor also has a play area or entertainment area. A place where you could play billiards or sing your hearts out using the karaoke. If you book a room, karaoke use is free and unlimited. No additional payment! How good is that?

The second floor comprises of the living area, the kitchen, the bar, the dining area, the standard rooms and also, this is the location where the wifi is most reliable. The vacation house is using a Globe wireless internet connection so don’t expect enormous speeds, but better than nothing at all.

The upper floor is the location of the master’s bedroom, a very big one! I actually wished that we took the master’s bedroom but it’s an additional 1000 pesos ($20). It has the pleasant view of the pineapple fields that surround the property. The room we requested and the master’s bedroom are the only rooms that have their own bathtub. All the bed sizes in the bedrooms are queen size but the master’s bedroom has the only king-sized mattress.

Everything was pleasant and perfect and a little overwhelming considering that I grew up in a simple home. You’d simply wish that you own a home similar to this property.

The Location

The vacation house is located in Tagaytay Farmhills, a gated estate located in Brgy. Ulat, Silang, Cavite, one ride away to Tagaytay proper. It’s a quiet gated community with no immediate neighbours. All Tagaytay and its amenities are a short drive away. Jeepneys and other public transportations are available after 5-10 minutes walk from the estate to the main road. So, if you’re going to this place, you must BRING OR BUY YOUR OWN FOOD.

How to get to this property by commute?

Coming from Manila, ride a bus that stops at Olivarez Plaza, Tagaytay. (I don’t know how much, we came from Robinson’s Dasmariñas).
Cost: From Robinson’s Dasma: 33 each / From Manila: (??)
From Olivarez Plaza, hire a tricycle and tell the driver to drive you off at Tagaytay Farmhills in Brgy. Ulat.
Cost: 80 pesos one-way.
Note that not all of the tricycle drivers knew about the place so you have to guide them as well to get to the house. Please use GOOGLE MAPS for that (just like I did).

By car, once you’re in Olivarez, please just use WAZE or GOOGLE MAPS and navigate to the property.

TAKE NOTE:

♥ I recommend this property as this is a real value for money. You get more what you paid for. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was memorable!
♥ Tita Alia and Kuya Jess, the residential managers, are very pleasing, cheerful, friendly, and approachable.
♥ This property doesn’t have Taal view but is close to parks and attractions.
♥ When we booked, only a room was assigned to us, but since we are the only ones booked for 3D2N, it’s like we owned the entire home for the duration!
♥ Hot and Cold shower is a plus.
♥ YOU MUST bring your own food or cook your own food. A mineral water container is available for purchase for only 30 pesos.
♥ The kitchen was well-equipped. You don’t have to worry about the utensils. My girlfriend cooked for us and I loved it!

  1. Ahhh Tagaytay! One of my favourite places when I visited the Philippines. I found the busstop a bit hard to find but when I was there it was all good! I stayed at a hostel there but for groups your accommodation looks really good! Enjoy the Philippines 🙂

  2. The Farmhills really looks like an exclusive castle where one can really relax and rejuvenate. The sheer space and the decor is awesome. The pools are gorgeous too. All in all I am sure holds the promise of a great staycation and great value for money.

  3. Looks like a good spot to stay. The interiors look comfortable and the staircase is so impressive.
Thanks for this recommendation, assures me of less searching time for a place to stay there.

  4. Wow, I haven’t been to Tagaytay and I heard a lot of good things about Tagaytay. This place is really perfect for those that loves to get away from the hustle of the City. The staircase really caught my attention for I haven’t seen something like this in a Hotel. I love how it was made, the design was really stunning. I think this looks like the staircase in SM Seaside in Cebu, but this one is better cause it looks simple, but very elegant. I’ll get to check this out if I get to visit Tagaytay soon. Thank you so much for sharing about this one Jern.
